Criminal Record Bureau checks - Season 2008-9
As from Season 2008-9, under present legislation, ALL people working in a role with children will require an enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check.
(Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act (SVGA) 2006)
IT WILL BE A CRIMINAL OFFENCE FOR ANYONE TO BE ENGAGED ON A PAID OR UNPAID ROLE WITHOUT BEING CHECKED.
This affects ALL people involved in football.

PLEASE NOTE:
The League Secretary will normally be available during the day and his contact details are as at right.
E Mails are NOT always checked on a daily basis.
E Mails to League Officers from Club Officials only
League Officers are not to be contacted by telephone AFTER 9pm.

LOOKING FOR A TEAM?
If you are seeking a team for your son look under;
DOWNLOADS - then
HANDBOOK
Choose what age group you son is in -
up to under 15 birthday must be before 1st September 2007
To play in u18 a player must have reached his 15th birthday before 31st August 2007
To play open age football a player must have reached his 16th birthday.

NOTICEBOARD
The noticeboard contains requests from managers & Club Secretaries for help & assistance and other points of interest to all clubs.
I cannot NOT consider requests for players unless a team is struggling with insufficient numbers.
This will NOT be a forum for moans & complaints which must be submitted to the League as normal procedure.

Date/Time: Thursday 16th August 2007 at 7pm at the Surrey County H.Q. at Leatherhead

Title: New Club Secretaries & New Managers Night
Date/Time: Monday 3rd September 2007
H.S.B.C. Sports & Social Club, Lennard Road, Beckenham, Kent at 8pm.
Details: This meeting is compulsory for all newcomers.
a) Meet the League Committee
b) Learn something about the League you have joined.
c) Something about the rules.
d) Understand about communication between League, clubs & teams
e) Registration of Players - know the difficulties & problems
f) Be guided on fixture & result notification procedure
g) Get to know abouth Match Cards
h) Be briefed on the Tandridge League Website
i) What is the difference between panel referees & club referees? Learn about appointments, fees & complaints.
j) Find out how to mark the referee and when you can go on a referee course.
k) Know what to do when you encounter a discipline problem.
l) Learn about Tandridge League F.A.Level 1 Coaching Courses
m) Child Protection Workshops & Club Welfare Officers.
n) What is a Charter Standard Club

Date/Time: Monday 10th September 2007 at 8-30pm at HSBC Sports & Social Club, Lennard Road, Beckenham,Kent.
Details: League Clubs Meeting of the Tandridge Youth Football League
Note that due to changes to League Rule 4F & 'Standing Orders' relating to meetings being reduced in number ALL clubs will be required to have representation.
A delegate will only be allowed to sign in for their OWN club.
Delegates must be present when the meeting commences.
Delegates will be required to stay to the end of the meeting.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING:
(League Rule 19)
'Notice is hereby given that prior to the commencement of the League Clubs Meeting a Special General Meeting will be held for the purpose of voting in new member applicant clubs'.

LEAGUE CLUBS MEETING:
This meeting is important as the last before the kick off 6 days later on the 16th September.
